Parking WECANDANCE: practical tips for a smooth arrival

Looking forward to sunshine, music, the beach and a healthy dose of fashion? Then WECANDANCE is probably already on your summer calendar. But before you grab your festival outfit and head to Zeebrugge, there’s one thing worth sorting out first: where do you park without stress?

Parking at the Belgian coast during a festival weekend requires a bit of planning. There are plenty of options if you know where to look. This guide gives you a clear overview so you can arrive calmly and enjoy the beach vibes from the start.

What is WECANDANCE and where does it take place?

WECANDANCE is not your average festival. It brings together music, fashion, food and visual design at a unique location by the sea. Every year, the event lands on the beach of Zeebrugge, where thousands of visitors come for an immersive experience that goes beyond just music.

What sets WECANDANCE apart is its annual theme, stylish visuals and the combination of electronic beats with culinary highlights. From denim to high fashion, from seaside strolls to dancefloors you’ll find it all at this sunny celebration of taste and rhythm.

How to get to the festival site in Zeebrugge

The WECANDANCE site is located right on the beach of Zeebrugge. You can reach it easily by car, and also by public transport like the coastal tram. Clear traffic directions are in place for drivers, and there’s smooth access from nearby cities and stations.

Smart planning can help you avoid peak traffic. The site is easily accessible via the A11 and N31 motorways. Expect busy times on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. Always check the official access route on the website and follow the signs on site.

Official WECANDANCE parking options

There are several official WECANDANCE parkings within walking distance of the entrance. These are accessible only if you have pre-booked a parking voucher. You can reserve one via the festival website and receive a ticket linked to your license plate.

Visitors with multiple entry tickets or premium experiences such as The Tables, which include table service, will receive separate parking instructions. Have your ticket and confirmation ready when you arrive. The car parks are clearly marked, staffed and someone will be on hand if you need extra assistance.

Free and paid parking near the beach

In and around Zeebrugge you’ll find a mix of free and paid parking options. Paid spots are often closer to the beach and the festival entrance, while free car parks are slightly further away. To avoid stress, it’s best to choose a well-located option and reserve in advance.

Demand for parking is high during the festival weekend. At peak moments or during headline shows, car parks can fill up quickly. Booking a voucher gives you certainty. Walking routes from the car parks are clearly marked and help you stay in the right flow, so you can focus on music, people and the relaxed beach atmosphere.

Kiss and ride zones and taxis

If you’re dropping someone off or picking them up, there are dedicated kiss and ride zones a short walk from the site. These are temporary and signposted on the day. Follow the instructions of on-site stewards to keep traffic flowing and avoid unnecessary delays.

Taxis have their own zone near the entrance. It’s recommended to book in advance, especially on Friday evening and Sunday when demand is highest.

Accessible parking for people with disabilities

WECANDANCE is accessible for everyone. Visitors with a disability can park closer to the entrance in designated zones. These spaces are available only for vehicles with a valid disability parking card. Show this proof on arrival and you’ll be guided to the appropriate spot.

The site also offers adapted facilities, including accessible toilets and assistance points. On arrival, check in at the info zone where staff will assist you further. These services must be reserved in advance through the website, so be on time to secure your space.

Bicycle parking and other transport options

WECANDANCE takes place right by the sea in Zeebrugge, which means you don’t always need to drive. Locals or nearby guests are encouraged to cycle to the event. There is a large secured bicycle parking area near the entrance, clearly marked and monitored throughout the day and night.

Prefer an electric ride or more eco-friendly travel? Steps, carpooling and compact electric vehicles are welcome and practical. Zeebrugge remains accessible, and the festival works with several partners to support flexible travel options. Ideal for visitors staying nearby or travelling between hotels, restaurants and the festival zone.

Public transport and tram access

WECANDANCE is easily reached by public transport. The coastal tram (Kusttram) stops close to the festival entrance and runs along the full Belgian coastline. Coming from further away? Take the train to Bruges or Blankenberge and hop on the tram from there.

There are no separate festival shuttles, but the standard network of NMBS and De Lijn gets you to the festival without hassle. Make sure to check your schedule ahead of time, especially for late-night trips or multi-day visits. Public transport tickets can be purchased easily through the official websites or mobile apps.
